Hobby Holidays!

First of all, for those of you who celebrate it - Merry Christmas, for the others of you I hope you are enjoying the restive period at the end of the year. This week I have not been at an event and so there will be no write up for that.

Instead, in a scene that I am sure is familiar to hobbiers around the globe I have been doing my best to hobby at my families dinner table as the chaos of a full house reigns around!

This week I have started my work on new army for the new year - which is going to be the World eaters. I am really going all out on the angron and cant wait to provide updates to you as he progresses.

Work begins on the skin and body.

A Year in review:

Over 2023 I have painted a lot, and worked on many different armies, I wanted to take some time to reflect on these.

I started the year with my first ultramarine, working through Uriel Ventris - one of my favourite space marine characters and so I leapt at the opportunity to get my hands on this black library model.

Following this we had the announcement of 10th edition, and I had the surge of hobby motivation to finish of the Genestealer cults, a project I had started as part of the DZTV Hobbypocalypse event. I was finally able to field them in an event. This I recounted in one of my first Blog Posts.

Taking a slight backstep into the history of 9th edition, I had the pleasure to pick up and start work on the Cadia stands set for my Krieg army. Unfortunately I was unable to finish a full force to be able to run them, but I had a blast creating and getting messy with the weathering techniques.

Perhaps the most fun project I worked on this year was the army of centrepieces that make up the daemons armies - many big beasties are a lot of fun to play around with and flex my creative muscles.

I have painted much more than just these pieces, however I will not go into detail, you can find a more complete collection in the gallery tab or on my instagram, linked at the bottom of the page. A new years resolution of mine is to post more consistently on that platform as well as the other socials.

Going into the new year I have a very full slate - and some exciting projects in the works, from Necrons to Tau and beyond, even reaching back into the old world when the release comes out. For now I will sign off for the year and wish you all the well and cant wait to see you in 2024!
